Turtles around the world are threatened with extinction, but they are also some of the most honoured and celebrated creatures on earth. Join the Adopt-A-Pond Wetland Conservation Programme to discover the diversity of culture and mythology associated with turtles; learn how conservationists are helping to save turtles globally and how you can protect these amazing animals here in Ontario. Explore the pavilions to meet live species from all corners of the planet, visit artistic classroom renderings of culturally-themed turtles, learn to identify all eight of Ontario’s turtles, and play timed turtle trivia to win a special prize! Visit Americas Wetlands and come face to face with a giant turtle mascot, inflatable replicas of Canadian species, a turtle bouncy castle, face painters and more! Visit torontozoo.com/adoptapond or call 416-392-5999 for more details.
