World TurtleWeekend!
Sunday May 22 and Holiday Monday May 23, 2016
Main Event: Americas Wetlands 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
Turtles around the world are threatened with extinction, but they are also some of the most honoured and celebrated creatures on earth! Join Toronto Zoo’s Adopt-A-Pond Wetland Conservation Programme for a fun filled day at the Zoo where your family will discover the diversity of turtles; how conservationists are helping to save turtles globally; and how you can protect these amazing animals here in Ontario.
Visit the Americas Wetland to learn how to identify all eight of Ontario’s turtles, how you can help Ontario turtles through our Turtle Tally citizen science programme, and play turtle themed games with kid friendly prizes!
Americas Wetlands area will be packed full of excitement with terrific turtle games, face painting and Bobbers our huggable Blanding’s turtle mascot! Don’t miss out on our turtle bouncy castle, where your $2 donation goes directly to turtle conservation projects right here in Ontario!
